Brenda M. Ellis, author, illustrator, and co-developer of ARTistic Pursuits, has over twenty-five years of experience in all aspects of teaching K-12 art. An honors graduate of the Kansas City Art Institute, she creates art in a variety of media and loves experimentation for the development of new products. She and her husband homeschooled their three children, now graduates, while developing the widely popular ARTistic Pursuits Series for homeschoolers, founded in 1999. Brenda began teaching in February of 2013 at SchoolhouseTeachers.com, where she posts weekly lessons in the Art Techniques class. She currently resides with her husband, Daniel, and family in an active, creative household of artists, musicians, actors and dancer, in Northglenn, Colorado, a suburb of Denver. She enjoys the mountain and meadow views near her home.
Daniel D. Ellis, graduate of the Kansas City Art Institute and co-developer, speaker, illustrator, and web designer for Artistic Pursuits Inc. has over thirty years of experience in the fine arts, which includes testing new art materials and teaching 1-12 art, photography, and art history. His artworks include local landscapes of the Rocky Mountain region and figure paintings with a spiritual emphasis. A homeschooling father, he supports the homeschooling community by encouraging others to continue. He currently resides with his wife, Brenda, and family in a busy, creative household in Northglenn, Colorado, a suburb of Denver.
