First Steps to Drawing
I can't tell you how important drawing is. Any fully-rendered, shaded drawing or colorful painting relies completely on those first lines that you put onto the paper. If your line drawing is off, no amount of shading or coloring will make that better. That's why I'm starting at the beginning with line drawing and showing you how we get those first lines onto the paper. You'll find more in-depth studies on drawing in all of our drawing books.
Parents, please note that some lessons in this section are too advanced for our youngest learners. Parents of young students (Preschool, Kindergarten, and First grade) will want to go to our curriculum, where age-appropriate lessons are waiting for them!
Here are some of the great drawing topics that I cover:
- Drawing too Small
- Where to Draw the Lines
- Using the Hand as a Tool
- Visual Measuring
