Each art history lesson begins with an engaging interactive read-aloud that sparks curiosity and builds comprehension. Children then explore a master artwork through guided questions that encourage them to look closely, share their observations, and discover new ideas. They immediately put their knowledge into practice through a hands-on art project, using materials and techniques introduced in the video lessons.

Video lessons introduce young artists to techniques for using graphite and colored pencils. Children see how the hand and arm moves to create big marks, verticle lines, horizontal lines, and curves. They learn how a line is like a path, taking us from one point to another point. They learn about pattern, shading, and layering colors. As children experiment with these versatile tools and draw familiar subjects from life, including toys, foods, and pets, they learn practical ways to create lines, textures, and colored forms while developing greater control and confidence in their drawings.
