Master Artworks

Artworks focus on portraits, landscapes, animals, still life, nature, and clothed figures in settings that will be familiar to the child, yet different, featuring subjects as diverse as a Dutch meal, a French railway, an American cowboy rescue, a large German king, ancient figures leaping over bulls, and ducks by a quiet garden pool. Full color, organized, and clearly written text invites children to enter into each artwork by the masters and see something new. All K- 3rd Grade Volumes feature questions about each artwork, engaging kids and making discussion time easy for parents and teachers. In the master artworks, 4th -12th graders see how the masters used each element of art, giving context and practical application for its use.
